If all out glitz isn’t your thing, consider subtly incorporating holiday hues into your existing décor, like this bookcase spotted @ruemagazine. It exudes sophistication while also bringing holiday cheer with its cranberry accents. The whole thing is topped off, literally, by an understated wreath. By the way, did you ever wonder why the wreath is a holiday staple? According to @sprucehome, “The wreath is a circular, never-ending symbol of eternal love and rebirth. Holly also stands for immortality and cedar for strength. Today, the wreath symbolizes generosity, giving, and the gathering of family.” We love digging into the why of some of our holiday traditions.

If you can’t get enough of the holiday lights and you want to do more with them than simply light up your tree, check out this image as seen on @sprucehome. A little sparkle never hurt anyone. We love this simple way to amplify warmth and cheer throughout the holidays.

This year think outside the traditional evergreen wreath and consider other materials. We love this magnolia wreath we spotted on Pinterest. The mix in tones gives it depth and texture. We love the neutral colors and large blooms.

We love this sustainable and neutral gift wrap we spotted @thesefourwallsblog. Think outside the typical bows and ribbons and bring some eco chic to your loved ones by upcycling some brown paper bags and adorning them with simple twine and organic matter found in your own yard. Not only is this a cost effective and gentle on the planet, but real materials also feel good in your hands. It is also a time saver since you can pull this together in the last minute without a trip to the store.

We love the way @gingerhome draws your eyes up in this table scape. They have taken the décor to another plane and created atmosphere by using their chandelier as structure to hang evergreen and ornaments. Not only does this add to the overall décor of the space, it is also a great approach in small spaces where you really need all the table space you can get for food and serving ware. We all love a beautiful table scape, but sometimes we simply lack the space and need it for practical things. This is a great solution to maximize cheer and serving space.

We at Interior Collab hope you have fun with your holiday decorating this year! We hope we have inspired you to try some new things. May the time you spend decorating your home be as joyful as the time you spend enjoying it! Happy Holiday!
