What is your idea of a perfectly designed space?

One that reflects the client in its entirety.

What is your greatest extravagance when designing a project?

More a luxury than an extravagance, the possibility to travel abroad to source products.

What do you consider the most overrated design trend or rule?

I generally don’t see things as overrated; above all, I believe everyone should do whatever makes them happy and feels right to them, no matter what. However, the problem with following trends is that they quickly become widely popularized, and items or spaces become less exclusive and unique.

The last few years have been quite interesting in how our business has changed. What do you consider your greatest achievement in managing all this?

I believe unwavering adaptability has been the name of the game. During the initial stages of COVID, everything was uncertain, but soon the increased connectability allowed us to operate in very efficient manners and forced us to rethink traditional approaches and explore new avenues. Embracing change always leads to growth.

If you were to die and come back as an object or space, what would it be?

I would choose a lighthouse because it stands tall and resilient in storms, illuminates the path for others, and provides comfort and hope in moments of despair. I came across this concept a while ago, and it deeply resonated with me.

What is your most treasured space or possession in your home?

I am not attached to any single item but I do cherish my home in it’s entirety. I am away quite often and coming back to my space and objects always gives me tremendous joy.

What is your motto?

Choose love. ❤️ No matter the circumstance in your life, one can always choose a loving behavior.

What is your current state of mind?

Extreme gratitude!

What do you value most in your clients?

Open communication and trust, I believe, are key in any relationship.

Who are your favorite artist, architect and designer?

Artist: Helen Frankenthaler Architect: Luis Barragán Designer: Kelly Wearstler There is a clear thread of boldness, daring, and distinctiveness that unites the three of them. Each of them stands out for their willingness to push boundaries and deliver an unique vision.

From Francisca: I believe your surroundings have a direct and significant impact on your state of mind. By creatively combining design, architectural, and fine arts elements, I strive to manifest emotions that inspire and elevate your spirits; spaces we are drawn to, captivated by watching them, and that hypnotize with their presence. Simply said, beauty that can be felt and seen.

I believe in an intimate and collaborative design process between the client and myself. Working as a team, we will create original atmospheres that represent you and your vision while making the design process fun and enjoyable.

My goal is to create functional everlasting environments that optimize space through unique design solutions while maintaining a balance between function and aesthetics.
